Its true to say judge judy is an intollerable person at times - but do you really feel sorry for that person? I was laughing my socks off, i have been ripped off for an amount similar to that and if i could put michael rangos in a courtroom and have judge judy shout at him i would be standing directly behind him throwing rotten eggs at him.

Its a disgusting feeling to get ripped off for a lot of money.
I only felt sorry for her having to put up with a bombastic cow like that judge.

She deserved to be in court and she deserved to lose the case.

I actually think deceiving people in that way should be a criminal offence, but if it was most of the companies in this country, together with the ad agencies would be in the dock.

But the judge's job is to decide on points of fact and law, not make gratuitous remarks about the defendant's husband and children or (!!!!!!) how clever she is.

If she was so clever how come she could not seem to get her head around the fact that the defendant would be the person named in the case, i.e. the woman, and not her husband.

The defendant seemed to understand that perfectly well and the fact that the judge didn't indicated to me that she was more mouth than knowledge. (Or was prepared to ingnore the facts of the case in order to show off her smart mouth).

I can't believe anyone could think that the judge was harsh on someone who sells photos of items!!
Not harsh. Just an obnoxious loudmouth playing to the camera.

  • I don't pity the scammer but still think thats no way for a judge to act.
She is playing up to the cameras and probably thinking more of ratings than justice.

That's not my favourite Judge Judy episode. I'm glad an Ebay scammer got what they deserved, but but I agree with what everyone said about Judge Judy being harsh. I know they've edited it and cut it and stuff, but most of it wasn't nice/relevant things to say

I've seen a few episodes of JJ before and at first I thought it was kind of an interesting show, but after a couple episodes it became apparent that she frequently ignored certain facts and at times made alarmingly illogical decisions/statments. Like you say, it's designed for nothing more than for her to show off her smart mouth and for entertainment. Thank god Justice is blindfolded and doesn't have to see the show! :p

Judge Judy isn't harsh. The silly biatch scammer was still claiming she had done nothing wrong even at the end of the programme. She could see no harm in what she had done. It amazes me that people live in such a warped world of what is right and wrong.........that includes the bleeding heart liberals that are claiming the scammer was hard done by.

If I was the Judge, she'd have got 5 years hard labour and lost her right hand. $5,000 fine = slap on the wrist. FACT.
  • she was harsh but what the woman did was more than harsh..

i cant belive she tried to justify all that money for a picture!!!

good point about the weight in the description..

  • That was excellent!

JJ wasn't very professional but the JJ show is about ratings and a calm judge is not going to get that.

I hope the $5k makes her think twice about doing it again, i think she deserved more.

$5k is the maximum amount JJ can award to anyone, no matter what the claim is for..
