  • I've been trying to do my bit to support Superdrug over Boots by getting my numerous prescriptions filled at Superdrug, but I must say that after this shabby debacle, I'm going to make it a point to avoid Superdrug now. I don't appreciate being messed about.

The only thing in the clearance section at the Superdrug a few doors from my work are JLS johnnies!
  • For that price you could have purchased a charger with AA batteries. Do you not realize the damage to the environment that the disposal of billions of these single-use batteries causes, or is it just too much trouble charging them up?

This isn't a forum for judging people on their purchases! Do you not realise the carbon footprint your computer manufacture makes? Or your phone, or your TV, or your car? I hope you don't use any of these things and still feel it appropriate to be making comments like that to someone on a money saving site ( not a save the world site) ...

I emailed customer services as they still had the 3 for 2 stickers on the clearance items and I asked at the till and they almost laughed as if what I was asking was the stupidest thing they had heard, I felt little and wish I hadnt asked. Customer services said they would send me a 10% voucher? But after that experience why would I spend my money there, I felt like if I didnt spend alot they wernt interested in me. I emailed back and said the voucher would be of no use to me, they just replied and said sorry we cant help you?! I shall be shopping at boots in future now.

Some people really shouldn't work in customer service. I'm sorry they made you feel small, and the 10% off voucher is a ridiculous gesture. "oh, so we insulted you, have 10p off per pound of your hard earned cash when you spend it in our store to pay the wages or some judgemental idiots"

Exactly! That's why I thought I would email them back and say the voucher was of no use to me! It shouldn't matter how much I spend in there, it's their loss though in the long run well that's how I'm looking at it.
  • I popped in to my local ( Clapham ) today & not much there even though big pink 'clearance sale' signs in the windows! lol

One shelf with 2 baskets of Gosh make up for 99p

Some own brand ( quite grubby looking ) kids after sun for 99p

A few Christmas soaps for 10p but don't really need them!

My only 2 ( good ) buys were a pack of Walkers crisps from near the checkout @ 25p bb end Sept & I had a 20p off coupon so it was 5p :D:D

And one solitary L'Oreal kids sun protection milk spray on the clearance shelf for 99p & is this one on Amazon for £7.49 so can't be bad! ; http://www.amazon.co.uk/LOREAL-SOLAR-EXPERTISE-SPF-50/dp/B005T3FYNG :D
