bumping this up as i'm on a diet too
I dont mix my carbs with my proteins.I bump out difference with veg which saves your calories and Ive heard yor body utilises fod better this way
Its a very easy way to diet so say I had a chicken breast no skin with big salad just forget spuds
Or if pasta have a tomato sauce with lots of veg in.No cheese or meat.
I also eat as much veg n fruit as it takes to fill me up.
If you crave bread like me brown is better thinly sliced fill with salad.
Bernard mathews chicken slices are a god send at 20 calories each.
I adapted our homemade spag bol last night.We had brown pasta I forewent parmesan and garlic bread but had lots of veg in my tomato sauce instead.
I also hate skimmed milk so dilute whole milk with half water for my cereal and use sachharin.
My treat at weekend was a bottle of diet cherry coke.
If you crave chocci galaxy is the worst for fat content higher than mars bars accoring to gillian mckeith.
Maltesers if you can stop at a few are better.
Jaffa cakes are approx 100cal for 2 if your a reformed biscuit monster like me0 -
Don't eat junk.

Check out https://www.fitday.com if you like graphs and charts to plot your progress then this is great! you can set up a basic account for free log how much and what you are eating, the amount of exercise. aswell as log your weight over time.

portion control
clear realistic goals

prepare as much food yourself as possible
keeping a food diary
