When you buy online with a credit or debit card, what's to stop a dishonest employee/company using your card details to pay for stuff over the net? Sometimes transactions are made more secure by asking for your mastercode but not often.
Asking because I just had dealings with a company which I have a bad gut feeling about

There's nothing to stop anyone who has your card details using them, just monitor your account closely and let your card issuer know if there are any transactions you don't recognise.0
