PayPal Buyer Protection shield not showing on my listings

I'm eligible for buyer protection as a seller on eBay but my listings don't show the shield.

• I have a feedback score of more than 50
• I have 100% positive feedback
• I have a verified PayPal Premier account

I meet all the requirements so I thought this was an automatic procedure. I'm using Auctiva for my listings but that shouldn't make any difference as I have selected PayPal as an accepted payment method. Can anyone throw any light on the matter please?

No, it's a pc wireless network card. Someone else is selling one the same and their listing is showing the shield.

Can't remember exactly how to sort it. But you can try the following.

Are you using the same name for both your ebay and paypal accounts?

Also are you using the same email address for both your ebay and paypal accounts?

And have you connected your ebay/paypal accounts by adding payment / postal adresses in my ebay from your paypal account?

I think one or a combination of the above is the answer.

I did a search before posting to see if anyone else had asked this question but couldn't find anything. The answer is yes to all your questions. Thanks for your help, I'll send an email to PayPal.

This happened to me too. I signed up for the buyer protection and the shield didn't show for my first batch of listings a few weeks later so I contacted Paypal and this is part of the reply I received-

Thank you for contacting PayPal, my name is xxxxx and it is my pleasure
to assist you today.

I understand you are enquiring about PayPal Buyer Protection Shield.

Based on research and Community input, we have found that this icon is
not the best way to represent this program to the majority of our
Community. To improve awareness of this program, eBay removed the shield from search and listings pages.

I didn't quite understand this as other sellers were still showing the shield, however, on the next item I listed the shield was showing.

It doesn't make sense to me either. I have more than one item listed and the shield isn't showing on any of my listings. I've emailed PayPal so I will wait and see what their response is. Thanks for your reply.
