in Credit cards
Moorcroft have written offering a 75% settlement on an old Egg Credit card - to be paid within 14 days. The balance is roughly £430 so the settlement looks at about £319. Should I be going back to moorcroft offering something less? Like 50% or is this a good deal and should I grab it? As it happens I will be getting a bonus this month and will be in a possible to settle a few cards.

Check carefully the wording of the offer - does it specifically state that this will be in full & final settlement of the debt - have a read of - http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=24_full_and_final_settlement_offers
You could try writing to offer a lower amount using the template on there.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
What's wrong with paying the £319? You owe £430, so you're already getting 25% off your debt.0
