Now I'm no Matelot, but from what I've seen a Submarine is still nothing like a surface vessel!0 -
As a woman, the fact that anyone is questioning whether a woman should serve on a submarine is deeply insulting. No one says that about male nurses and male nannies are trendy.0

You obviously know nothing about Submarines, or you would know that it has never been about whether women are capable or not.
It has always been to do with accomodation and what would happen to a unborn child should a women get pregnant whilst the Boat was at sea.0 -
As this site is about money saving shouldn't we discuss how much a couple can save by serving on submarines and spending their shore leave sponging off relatives?Life is like a box of chocolates - drop it and the soft centres splash everywhere0

!!!!!! are you on about?
Another person bumping their gums about something they know nothing about.
Submarines don't have urinals. Also, it's more than just about toilet arrangements, what about shower and sleeping arrangements also. We also still have some Stag Ships for the same reason.
I would give woman a Ship/Boat to themselves and then there would be no accommation problems. Imagine how !!!!!y it would every one week in 4? OYF!!!:eek::eek:
Only the Bombers (the ones that carry the nuclear weapons) carry Doctor's. Also, it wasn't about the fact that a doctor wouldn not know what to do, but more to do with what the recylced atmosphere could do to the unborn child, higher CO2 levels for example. This has now been showing to be minimal risk by INM, hence why they have now said women can serve on Submarines.0 -

Well being a Submariner, I would say I know a little about them!0 -
