Help regarding Credit Card!!!

in Credit cards
Hi guys and gals!!
Myself and my partner are going on our honeymoon soon and we want to book an activity which at the moment we can't afford as we're paying out for everything for the wedding and the honeymoon itself. We have asked our guests at the wedding for spending money as gifts for our wedding present but we need to book this activity in advance, something we can't do at the moment!
I wondered whether it would be easier to get a credit card (hopefully at 0% for a year) pay the £280 it will cost for the activity and then pay it back as soon as we get back?
I know nothing about credit cards, have always seen them as 'The Devil' but can only feel that this is the only way to do this activity rather than not at all?!
Any advice would be great!!:money:

a 0% card would be best, might be hard depending on your credit history though.
If you did get a 0% card you wouldn't pay any interest for the alotted time eg 12 months.Oh, you wee bazza!0 -
What about minimum repayments though, can this be quite high for this sort of thing or low based on the amount we actually spent?0

The minimum payment will be a percentage of what you owe. Each CC has it's own rate so could be 2%, 3% or even 5%. One of my cards has a low percentage rate but a minimum of £25 if that is lower, but as I always clear my CC every month that doesn't matter to me.
What this means is that you need to find the one that has the lowest minimum repayment percentage/amount but ensure that you repay the whole amount within the time the card has 0% interest on it.

Thank you Denise, I will look into possible cards to get and hopefully get what I need!0
