How long do I give Lloyds?

I am currently using a claims company for PPI (I know, I know, but what's done is done).

One of the claims is against Lloyds TSB, they had sent a letter back saying they were looking into it (dated 22nd December), it mentioned that the 8 week response had been increased to 12 weeks now.

That actually ends tomorrow, obvisouly they will probably contact the claims company that I have, but how long should I give them if they haven't responded by tomorrow (give or take a couple of days for the letter to be received by the claims company to relay to me)?

Is this just standard or does that sound like I may have a positive response?

I would contact them now and ask them for an update, and will possibly contact you as well as the claims company, but no harm in giving them a ring anytime now just to ask where they are currently at.

    Good luck.

No need, sending the letter away, wife phones me and we have been offered £3330.00, unfortunately I've been a bit of a pillock and went down the claims company route, however I'm still ecstatic in receiving this. This is in addition to another £750 from another 2 smaller claims. The only downside is that we will pay 30% + vat towards this, but still a great success.
