In my final year of uni I got into abit of trouble with my bank and credit cards, I was charged a lot of money and as I couldnt pay them back it was given over to a thrid company to get the money back. I left the bank/credit cards as soon as I could when the monies were paid off. Can I still get the charges back from them? This was all within 6 years however as soon as I sorted out my finacial situation I destoryed all the letter and bank statements. Am I still entitled to claim for the charges and if so how do I go about getting the money back?
