Depends - have your vendor's vendor's found? Assuming the chain is really finished then it could be as quick as 2 weeks or as long as a piece of string I'm afraid - depending on survey mostly.0

i would suggest 6 weeks, and you can always aim for a bit earlier. pre-easter is one of the most popular times to move.0

we closed off a chain and exchanged in 4 weeks - with very co-operative sellers and solicitors.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I'm top of a chain - 5 people in it - four of us and me are all ready to exchange. Last property in the chain hasn't done their searches..... 8 weeks since the chain was made, and now because someone held off doing their searches we're all in a really difficult situation I'm starting a new job and will have to fund a hotel know during the week !!! We're looking at a 4 week delay!
Please if you hold off doing searches (they can take ages), make sure everyone in the chain knows, estate agents and solicitors dont communicate0 -
hi,
im aware of holding of searches but they have just found like yesterday and i have instructed my sol to go ahead
in fact it will be me who waits as i already have my mortgage offer and the people they are buying from have already vacated so end of chain.. :j OFFICIAL DFW NERD NO 159 PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH OUR DEBTS:beer: :j
