I was on same hun but then moved to iva, I asked same question yesterday and through another forum found you can reclaim as if you were sold it incorrectly it doesnt matter what your current circumstances are. Obviously if you are still in your plan it would need to be declared so as to use some as you say against your debt. Good luck hun I know how stressful a situation it is juggling your finances x
  • Thank you PRIDDY7 for your reply,it is a worry not knowing the facts and how to juggle one thing and another.

I had a loan with Halifax and have ended up in a debt management plan
with the cccs, I wrote to the Halifax in January requesting a copy of my agreement. They sent this out to myself, I then sent the PPI Claim form back to them at the begging of February.
I received a letter yesterday advising that as I still have a outstanding balance they are going to deduct the PPI refund from the agreement. This was over £2000.00 and my debt with them is now clear. Yipee.
I would say give it a go it wont take you long to write the letter and it will only cost you £1.00 and a couple of stamps.

    Good Luck

I've just claimed back on a defaulted loan so your current status has nothing to do with it. They might just reduce your debt with it or pay it back to you it depends on the bank.
