This question may well be basic stuff for some, but not having needed this before, I am unsure of how to achieve success.
I use google chrome, but have IE. I also have a printer/scanner connected to laptop.
I need to scan a letter then somehow be able to use it as an attachment in an email.
Presumably with the letter in the scanner, I press and scan, but what then?

Details? Which scanner are you using? Some scanners require you to scan from the PC and not the scanner itself...0

It is a HP2050 and since posting, have achieved success and your reply cam before I could get back, but thanks.
What I did after placing the document under the scan tray, was to go to start>all programmes>HP>HPdeskjet 2050 series J510 etcThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
