Hi everyone I bought a Dell desktop with an i3 processor a month ago, I earlier had a problem accessing my recovery partition on my Dell inspiration620 MT, so a dell technician talked me though reinstalling windows 7, this resulted in my recovery partition being lost and me having to reinstall my network driver (I was not happy with this as I wanted to keep the recovery partition and the factory image)

Anyway I have a new problem, every couple of days when I wake my computer out of sleep mode all my desktop icons have changed size to giant, they change back again to normal size when I restart my computer, I don’t know if maybe some other driver needs installing or something – any ideas, I am really feeling like contacting dell and telling them to take my computer away and send me one that’s working properly

maybe I sould mention that the computer uses the intel HD graphics card that comes with the i3 processor
I just think that the problem is connected to my reinstalling windows as it didn't happen before

Go to Device Manager. Do all devices have their drivers installed?

Found it thanks, under the title other devices both thenetwork controller and the SM bus controller don’t have drivers installed with (code 28) beside them, I have tried to update the drivers with the automatic update option but windows cant find drivers for them, what are the network and bus controllers for, I might be better to just return the computer to Dell andlet them put the factory image with all the drivers back on my computer – what doyou think.

Also any idea what happening with the resizing of the icons
    regards Arthur

Those aren't the issue. There's no need to return PC.

I would just make sure you are using the latest drivers from the Dell website.
