EBID Scammer - Need help

Hi everyone

Just need some advice.

I bought a mobile phone on ebid on Mon 22 Jan 2007, paid the seller by paypal straight away, (was sold for £41.00), he claims he shipped the item via special delivery, but after contacting him several times, hes ignoring me now, hes not providing me the special delivery reference number either, i have complained to ebid who have suspended him,

ebid then asked me to contact paypal and claim of them, i filed a complaint with them, it was settled in my favour today, but they are saying they were unable to retreive any funds from the sellers account.

so basically paypal and ebid cant do anything for me, i know its only £41.00 but its still my money and im not happy at all, Ive got his full address and home phone number and mobile number, each time i ring him he pretends he cant here me, he lives too far for me to visit him as well, is there anything else i can do, looking forward to the responses,

thanks in advance.

fell sorry for you. once again paypal/ebay shows what a pathetic company it is.
one option is a 7 day warning to be followed by county court action.
or poss a visit from you in within 14 days, along with your harley davidson motorcycle club friends?
    to claim your refund.

The OP used Ebid not Ebay:D

Anyway, did you pay with your credit card? If you did maybe you could do a chargeback through the CC company.

Unfortunately Debit Cards aren't covered by the same rules as Credit Cards, and most banks do not do chargebacks on items bought with them. However, it might still be worth contacting the bank, because there have been a few cases where they have helped get the money back, and even if they don't, they may be able to give you more help and advice.

Where does he live. If near NW Surrey, I will knock on his door for you sometime. That might prompt him to settle.

Or tell him you are visiting his area with your Rugby club soon and will be paying him a visit.

Be polite and non threatening as overt threats will rebound on you.

Maybe you can scare him into paying up.

    Worth a try maybe. :)
  • thanks for the replies
