Paying by credit card through paypal

I have a fully verifide paypal account, if there are not enough funds in my account the extra comes out of my bank account. how do i change it so as to come off my credit card ?
when it comes to paying i have the option of funding from another source but the only options are my current bank or to add a different bank account.
i would rather pay through my credit card.
any ideas.....

is your credit ard listed with paypal ?

I have had contact with paypal as I have 'no funds' and want to pay instantly by credit card .... the reply is this

    Thank you for contacting PayPal.

When you use PayPal to send money, the balance in your PayPal Account is
used first. If you do not have enough money in your PayPal Account to
cover the whole transaction, PayPal will first use the balance in your
account and fund the rest of the payment using your bank account or your
registered credit card. To view the funding options available to you,
click the 'More Funding Options' link before sending your payment.

PayPal (Europe) Limited is authorized and regulated by the Financial
Services Authority in the United Kingdom as an electronic money
    institution.

I wish you the best with your future transactions.

There you have it.....from the horses mouth!

I have not tried this yet! Paypal say click 'the more funding options 'tab BEFORE sending payment..... so wondering if this only comes up then? Just a thought..... I am not likely to buy anything for a while so cant put it to the test!
