Best loans for a released bankrupt?
Hi Guys;
I was released from bankruptcy in August 2010 and have since completed a year's worth of the Cashplus card/loan thingy. I now could do with getting a loan of around £2000 but am worried about getting rejected and having a bad score put against me.
Can anyone suggest any lenders?
I have checked my experian report and the score says 'excellent' and I *think* I've got a default removed that occurred on the day I actually went bankrupt and have got an explanation for my bankruptcy on file.
Nonetheless I am still nervous about attempting to get any credit!
Thanks

Try your own bank would be the first action.0

Can you try a soft search on a money saving site. This might help but first action definitely speak to your bank first0

Sorry but no worthwhile lender will touch OP after his bankruptcy.
He will be a credit pariah for 6 years from date of discharge.0 -
I don't think a mainstream lender will go near you.
How can a credit file be "excellent" with a bankruptcy on there?
Why would a discharged bankrupt want to get in to debt again?0 -
Just goes to show the sheer ludicrousness of a credit score, seriously, Excellent???
I doubt the OP has a standard bank account which would carry loan offers in any case.
Credit for a recently dishcharged BR is history.0 -
An ex-Bankrupt and wanting a loan? Words fail me."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

divalou the cash plus card isnt really worth the plastic it is printed on.it does get you a green tick every month put while your br is on your credit file those ticks are pretty meaningless.but after been through the bankruptcy process why would you want to seek credit again just enjoy your own money and stay away from promises of gauranteed loans, just my advice.0

Seriously ... banks are not charities. They're businesses. Can you imagine any bank entertaining a loan application from you in the present financial circumstances?
Minion: "Oh, look. Here's an application from someone who went bust less than two years ago. He must have learnt his lesson now! How much can we lend him"
Big Boss at bank; "Bu**er All"
In other words 'You haven't got a chance' (unless you go see Thug and Slug, the local loan sharks)."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
Whats with the urgency for a loan OP ?
You want to get more credit even though you have only been out of BR for about 20 months.
Has being bankrupt not taught you anything with regards to money ?
Are you able to manage money effectively now ?0 -
