Gravel Drive help please

Am thinking of sorting my front drive out, it is currently some very poor looking concrete with about a bucket full of pea gravel on top, which is gradually blowing/moving away to nothing.
Could someone give me an idea of what work would be involved and what order I would need to do it in. I will have some time over the summer holidays to do it so don't mind spending time doing it myself.
Obviously I would need to break up the existing concrete and remove it.
Then I'm not sure what next.
Thanks in advance

Put simply, you need to dig out the area you want your gravel to be in so you can have about four inches of compacted hardcore, and three inches of your chosen gravel. Choose your gravel carefully too, you'll want a larger size for a big drive that will have a lot of traffic and a car going over it.
Lovehome.co.uk has loads of great articles on laying gravel... and an Ask The Expert forum!0 -
To break up the concrete, try www.screwfix.com part no 67819. I found this more convenient than hiring. If you break the concrete small enough, this can be used as most of the hardcore base.0

Thanks all.
Have seen people advise to use 'scalping stone' rather than hardcore, but can't see anywhere to buy it or how much it costs.
But it seems to be;
Remove concrete
Dig out 'mud' until it hits something firm
Add scalping stone and level
Use a machine to firm the stone
Add a membrane
Add gravel
Done
That seem about right?
So I will need to pay for;
Hire/buy a breaker
A skip for removal of concrete/soil
Scalpel stone
Hire a bouncing plate thing
Membrane
Gravel
