Praise for Sky.com

No internet access on Sunday. Phones Sky and they checked the line and said all was ok so it must be the router. They said they would send me a new one but needed to open my account soI could be charged for it.
At that I said forget it, I've been a customer for many years and the least you can do is give me a free router. They phoned back and said ok and that I would receive it later this week.
Imagine my surprise when it arrived this morning.

Well done Sky:T

I second that. My previous experience with Sky was painful to say the very least, though recently they have been very good; especially with regards to my broadband connection and replacement routers (I initially had a Netgear router but received a Sagem which performed better contrary to what I had been led to believe).

I've been a sky tv customer for many years and recently changed to telephone and internet and have to say that I have always had utterly good service from them.

I wouldn't recommend Sky. Did you know they are owned by Rupert Murdoch, who orchestrated the phone hacking scandal.

at least they're run by an english speaking guy though eh?

Why is this relevant to the op's router problem? Besides I thought he didn't own all of sky as he was trying to takeover the company and buy the rest of the shares when all this phone hacking kicked off.

There are 4 lights if they are all green it's !!!!ed because one of the lights Is the test light and shouldn't be on. This problem happened to me when sky were updating my router (all lights started to flash in a sequence) and I didn't know what it was so pulled the Plug out! It broke my router and I had to ask for a new one!

News Corp owns 49% of Sky and the Murdoch's don't own all of News Corp.

HENCE IT IS A FACT THAT THE REASON THE ROUTER BROKE IS BECAUSE OF RUPERT MURDOCK.

Damn, I bet I was hacked and that's why the router broke and they gave me another one for free.
