A1 car/van hire

Hi All,

I'd like to warn you about A1 company which hires cars/vans.
I've hired a van a month ago and the deposit has still not been refunded to me.
Customer service is poor. I have complained couple of times and no response!
3 times I have been informed that the money was processed to my account and it still not there till now. No compensation from the company and no call to even apologise and explain the situation.

I do not recommend A1 unless you want to spend ages on getting your deposit back!

Last week A1 Van Hire took £250 out of my account using the Visa debit card details that I'd given them when I hired a van from them over 6 weeks ago. I had already paid in full for the van hire at the time. When I phoned them they could not explain why they have taken this money from my account. I reported it to the police as a theft, but they advised me to contact my bank in the first instance.

Reading about others' experiences with this company I am amazed that they are still allowed to trade.
