Eco paint

We are expecting a baby in july so giving babys room a new lick of paint. we brought b&Q eco paint in white to avoid chemicals - it arrived today - OH has done a coat of one wall but used up twice the amount of paint expected - it also doesnt look great ( we were planning to do two coats)

thinking of taking this back to get a refund.....

how have others faired with using eco paints? which brand did you use?

most normal paints are a 2 coat process to get a decent coverage .
i take it you are using the stuff you mix with water ? i would imagine that this is like the old distemper or limewash which you have to build up the paint with several thin coats to get a decent coverage .

personally i wouldn't bother , if you are into eco friendly paints , i can recommend this http://www.raymunn.co.uk/eico-paints
they can mix it in any colour you want , at the end of the day you want a decent paint that will do the job and be eco friendly - the b+q stuff sounds a bit naff
