They won't know. "Computer said xx%" is the answer. So take it or leave it.
That's what I was suspecting... oh well, I suppose there's nothing that can be done in this case. I'll think about the advantages (or not) with the new conditions... that's not what I was looking for from them really.0 -

Hiya, no, maybe I mistyped something before? I don't have any other credit card with them, just a different credit card with a different bank...
So many variables that God knows what they didn't like. It'd be good to be able to find out though, but if it doesn't work that way already I suppose it's not in their interest to spend any time or money to provide such an info.0 -
Absolutely not. It would tell people how to cheat their credit scoring systems.I suppose it's not in their interest to spend any time or money to provide such an info.0 -
Interesting, because when I have talked to banks etc , all the decisions are blamed on the computer system. Or are you an A.I.I assess customers for credit cards. Whether we will make money or not is NEVER taken into account in my decision. It's based on affordability and their existing levels of debt against their income.0

Just called today trying to clarify and that was the answer.... the computer said that rate so there's nothing we can do and no way to find out why :S0

Where i work, some lending is automatically offered by the system, i assess the borderline cases and speak to the customers to make a decision. How much money we will make if we do agree never comes into my decisions. It doesn't matter whether the customer decides to pay the minimum or full balance each month, it's their choice. If banks were only interested in how much they would make, they wouldn't offer full repayment facilities.0
