ppi on a finance agreement with santander

hello all
i have a few questions about trying to reclaim ppi.
I bought a car through perrys(the dealership in question is now evans halshaw.but perrys still exists) 5 years ago.i got the car on finance through santander.I am not entirely sure if i had ppi so i know i need to request a copy of the agreement as i no longer have any of the paperwork and wondered which way is best to go about this.
should i write to santander to req a copy of my agreement as it says to do in the guide and if so, what info will i need to provide them with(name address dob etc...)
OR do i write to perrys head office asking for the same info

Hi and welcome

Firstly you can try tracking down the account number of the account on bank statements, if you bank online and still with the same bank, this may allow you to go back approx 7 years, the account number is normally shown next to the monthly repayment.

Failing that you will have to try to give them as many details as possible in order for them to try tracking down your account details.
Name, any name changes, date of birth, all addresses you been under since the accounts, and anything you can remember really.

Once you receive the details, and if you was sold ppi and mis sold, you then complete a reclaim questionnaire.
