Question for Eon rep please?

Hi,

We pay quarterly, and are on the standard tariff.

Our last bill was for the 8th Feb. The electricity price went down on the 27th Feb. Because they don't take pre price change readings, the bill will be estimated from the 27th to our next one due in May.

I read the meter anyway, so I can see how much the bill will be out. When I get the bill, would customer services accept my own reading for the price change and amend our bill? Thing is, I won't be able to prove my reading.

Thanks,
Candy

    Hello again Candy :)

We will estimate a meter reading for 27 February when we issue your bill in May and we’ll be happy to amend the readings if they’re not in line with the readings you took on the day.

For future reference you can enter readings online and request an up to date bill at any time to ensure the accuracy of your account.

I’m sorry but it is too late now to give us readings from 27 February on your online account.

You could put up to date readings on though and this will help us with our estimate and may just save you a phone call when we issue your next bill in May.

I hope this makes sense and is helpful :)
