Hi.
We took out a loan with PPI in 2006 but about a year later we were in financial trouble and defaulted on the loan. We have since been in a payment plan paying back as much as we can each month.
The question we have is if we claimed for the PPI now would we rock the boat and the loan company turn round and say sorry but either you start paying the actual amount each month you should be or pay off the remainder of the loan in full now? If we waited until finishing paying the load in a few years time could we still clain the PPI?
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers,
yarders.

I had a loan with Halifax and have ended up in a debt management plan
with the cccs, I wrote to the Halifax in January requesting a copy of my agreement. They sent this out to myself, I then sent the PPI Claim form back to them at the begging of February.
I received a letter yesterday advising that as I still have a outstanding balance they are going to deduct the PPI refund from the agreement. This was over £2000.00 and my debt with them is now clear. Yipee.
I would say give it a go it wont take you long to write the letter and it will only cost you £1.00 and a couple of stamps.
Good Luck0
