Victory Tea Bag Offer - not delivered

Hello -

I applied for the special introductory offer (on this site) for Victory Teabags. The payment (only £1!) was taken from my bank account. When the tea bags did not arrive I sent Victory an email and they replied saying that they would send them - they must have gone missing in the post the first time.

Unfortunately still no sign of the tea bags second time round. I'm afraid I won't be dealing with them again.

Sounds like you are trying to stir things up.....

  • Hi there Crimson,
    This is Victory Tea.
We are very sorry to hear that you did not receive your Trial Pack. Unfortunately, in order to keep the price as low as possible, we use a Standard Royal Mail service - which isn't trackable. I would say 99 out of 100 times, we have no problems. But on occasion our (very attractive) little Trial Packs do not make it to their new homes... When a customer contacts us to say they have not received it, we instantly send out another one. This is the first occasion that we are hearing a second attempt did not make it. We have send out around 8,000 Trial Packs since we launched in October 2011 – the first 5,000 as part of our FREE promotion period and the rest to paying customers. Now the Trial Packs are £1.50 and for that you get a £2 discount code to use against your next purchase of one of our bulk-buy boxes. We are a fairly small and very new tea brand doing the very best we can to deliver a high quality product and excellent customer service. We are sorry you have not received the shopping experience that matches our expectations. Please let us put it right! If you can contact us directly on info@victorytea.co.uk with your name and details, I will personally make sure a Trial Pack gets to you asap and refund your £1.
    Kind regards,
    Victory Tea

I'm not trying to stir anything up, maninthestreet, really I'm not. I was just disappointed. As you see Victory have very kindly responded and I appreciate this very much.

This poster 'VictoryTea" could be anyone and knowing the mentality of some people on here it probably is LOL

Anyway again this is most likely a problem with the post office. Again why do people refuse to accept that Royal Mail (who have history of !!!!ing things up) simply failed to do their job and instead blame the company?

Crimson, when was the second lot of tea sent out? If it was less than 15 days ago (it probably was) then it is still within Royal Mail's maximum period. Do you think the second item will magically appear the next day? It wont as why would it? It will be sent the same way as the first.

Thanks mightyroyals - I guess I'm really slow on the uptake. I usually only 'get' jokes after everyone else!

Thanks, johnnyboyrebel, you have made a valid point and it sounds as if maybe Royal Mail has failed us. VictoryTea are being really good about it and are, kindly, going to sort it out.

I'll post again once it's all sorted but I'm sorry if I've misjudged. I received the email saying that the second lot was sent well over a month ago (maybe even six weeks) so I waited a fair time. Even so I accept that I assumed the Company let me down when this is almost certainly not so.

  • Problem fully resolved, thank you very much VictoryTea. Tea bags arrived this morning. Can't think why the first two went missing but I'm delighted to have them this time - I look forward to trying them out.

    Many thanks indeed.
