I thought that was on hold or something. Plus, didn't think it applied to one-off in-family arrangements?
Getting a bit more confused now about what checks can and can't be done without my knowledge.
What we do is a Police Check...we call the Police to find out if you are known but we cannot do this without talking to you. And only if the child is on a CP plan....we ask parents to provide details of any person that cares for the child unsupervised...does not need to be only away overnightYou have the right to remain silent.Anything you do say will be misquoted and then used against you
Knowledge will give you power, but character respect.

They would have checked out the social services database to see if you are known, if you have anything previous of any concern like offences against children or drugs offences in your background. Police checks could also be done looking at offences and intelligence held on you but as far as I am aware there is no national protocol on sharing this information. If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0
