I feel sorry for anyone having financial difficultys who comes to you for financial advice then I didnt ask for your approval but dont expect for you to look down your nose at me!!!

I agree with your comments on this. i have noticed that some people on here when giving advice to people with DMP, IVA and arrears is very negative, and they sound like stuck up bank managers from the old school brigade. Good Luck on your ppi claims and fingers x you get the ppi that was mis-sold- same as anybody else on here and do not get treated unfairly just because you once had debt problems

I look down my nose at you now because of your responses. Not for any other reason.

However, if your personality is such that you need lies and things to be wrapped up in cotton wool then here is your preferred answer. Yes, you can complain and you will get millions from the big bad banks.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.
  • I don't believe anyone looks down at you because of a DMP and any F&F settlements. I was in a DMP and did some F&F settlements and I have just put in a PPI complaint for one of them as I truly did not know I had PPI.

However I do understand and actually welcome if they would use any of a potential pay back to me to pay off the sum that was written off as I then can ask them to change the CR entry from partial settlement to hopefully 100% settled.

Maybe you should look at it that way as it might also help you fix some of your credit report entries plus the fact that this is money you owe them in the first place.

Thank you taking control for an answer that didnt try and make me out to be a money grabbing witch!!! My debt as such went to iva so wasnt a huge amount written off but they all show as settled. I have now taken advice and will be looking at claiming and no I dont want anyone wrapping me in cotton wool but if you ever go through the death of your child Dunstonh you may also find yourself spiralling out of control and then know how it feels to be in a situation which is absolutely out of control and when someone offers you a lifeline you take it!!! Please now dont judge me any money I can win back would buy my son his headstone!!!!!

Since the poster in question is unlikely to have had any "success" (as per advice given in this thread) and hasn't visited this website since March, I doubt you'll get a reply from them.
