Hi
I had a car that I bought in 2002 and I only realised when i traded it in a few years later that I had PPI insurance on it. Now the dealer that I bought the car from was a ford franchise which has now closed down. In that case do i contact ford credit?
Also, I don't know my account number, is this something I can request from ford credit?
TIA

Hi there
Normally you contact the ones who sold you the account, if they are no longer active, you could just try calling the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) who may suggest another avenue, such as the underwriter/insurer of the policy.
Check old banking statements where the repayments were being paid from, the account number should be shown next to monthly repayments.
If you were still paying for the account within the last 6 years there must still be records of this somewhere, so a Credit report may help perhaps, this will cost £2 if you request a full credit report from Experian, google them in and more details on the site.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"
