Is it possible to get into uni/college with lower than expected grades?

My last post was probably a little on the mean side so I'll try and be constructive.
I would say don't put yourself down so soon.

If you're in A2 at the minute, your final exams are at least a few months off. You have quite a lot of time to get up to speed. Especially in Maths - there actually isn't a lot of content to learn, it's all about repetitive practice.

Sit yourself down with a textbook and go over the problems until you hit one you can't do. Figure out how to do it, and do a few similar ones to make sure the concept is secure in your head. Then go from there.

Eventually you should know everything.

You are lucky in that it's Maths you struggle with really, it's one of the subjects which lends itself most easily to revision because it's trivial to teach yourself and self mark, and there are many ways of cross checking.

If you have any particular problems you can't do, maybe try homework forums on sites like xkcd or The Student Room. As a last resort I might be able to help with the odd question if you PM me.
