unable to receive text messages

when mr mob works late on a thursday i ask him to ring before he comes in so i can shut the dog outside as his barking will wake the baby. the dog has grown wise to this and starts barking when the phone rings
so yesterday mr mob said he would send me a text. he then appeared and the dog went nuts and i hadnt got a text even though it showed as sent. he then asked if i had got the other text message and also photo he sent me yesterday afternoon which i hadnt.
i spent ages on hold to vodafone (who my conract is with) and they couldnt see what the problem could be.
mr mob spent years on the phone to t-mobile who looked into it and said 'you cant send texts to this phone but we dont know why'.
he can send them to others, just not me. it cant be my phone either as i got my sister who is also on t-mobile to text me and i received it straight away.
any ideas? we feel mr mob hS been fobbed off somewhat. surely they should look into the reason he cannot text me. suprisingly he can receive texts from me.

I used to have this problem with receiving Orange text messages and sending them. They told me it was something to do with the i think centre number which is set in the message section of your phone. To sort it all out if you go the the Vaodafone web site and search for your make and model of phone you can have all the settings sent to the phone direct form them which should sort the problem out. If not do what I've just done ditch them, terrible up grade service, never again.0

Sometimes me & Mr Catz have problems receiving each others texts, he's on O2 and I'm on Orange. It doesn't happen all the time just every now and again0

Have you got a samsung phone? if you have go to message settings and the "block number" menu, if you have any numbers in there delete them or you won't be able to receive txts from them.
Any other type of phone especially motorola make sure there is nothing in your outbox, delete as many txts from you inbox as possible, switch the handset off and if possible remove the battery and sim for a few secs (don't do this if you have a pda type phone as you may loose data)
Let us know how you get one

eh? what and where did you send? There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
this:
do these things with mr mob as close as possible:
take out sim card, wipe the gold bit on the back, put it back in and get him to send a text to you.
its not your message centre number cos you can send and message centre number only affects sending.
try your sim card in another voda mobile or an unlocked one, you should get a flood of messages if your phone is ko-ed but have a test message sent by mr mob to your sim in that phone.
if no joy, ring voda, they should either replace your sim or raise a case with network engineers, both should be free.things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok
