I want to set up a wireless network for my laptop of my girlfriends NTL connection. Now she is very uncomputrer savvy and I think she could get all types of viruses, spyware etc.
Will my laptop be safe using the network as her (and powered off her PC) as long as I have a firewall and a virus checker installed?

Yes you will have no problem here, providing you are all up to date with the virus software etc ( well as safe as safe can be these days)
