Can I just ask why we're not allowed links to the MSE website itself in our forum signatures?
Links to external sites, yes, obviously, but linking to this forum itself?! That's just absolute madness - can someone explain this please?

We had a lot of problems with people linking to the referral forum and other abuses of it.
Thus we now adopt a policy of not allowing them as a rule, but give a limited number of people permission to have them by application if the link is seen to be something that would benefit other moneysavers (for example saynoto0870).
