Cancelling car insurance early

did you pay monthly and have they taken the deposit.
if so you will be subject to a concellation fee, and that months insurance deducted from anything they may owe you or you may owe them0 -

should be roughly pro rata, plus a fee of up to £500 -
I put my daughter (aged 27) on temporarily to give her extra practice until she past her test. When I told the insurance that she had past her test and ask how much it would cost to add her. They wanted another 500 until renewal in August. I got a quote for a year for the both of us for just over 300, but when I went to ask how much to cancel my insurance they want 250.00 which is more than it cost me to insure the car last August. To take my daughter off it would cost another 55.00. Surely this cannot be right I used to work for insurance we never charged this much money. This company is One Call Insurance, can anyone help?0
