New to apple and do not even have itunes, but have bought the IPad2. Got it out of the box. Turned it in to follow the on screen instruction. Can only get to the 2nd page where you select the language.....it wont go any further...Please dont laugh. What am I doing wrong? I was led to believe that these things are idiot proof.. Have i broken it already??

You need iTunes to set it up;)
I suggest downloading that first and set yourself up an apple id, the proceed with the iPad 2 set up:)
Here's the latest version of iTunes0 -
You don't need iTunes to set up the ipad, just a wifi connection. However, if you don't have an apple ID you must make one first.0

Thanks for the info. Went on line to create an account and it would appear that I already had one. Six years ago I bought my daughter an IPod, registration was fun.........Seriously for a non apple user, i really think that the instructions are non-existant. I wanted this mainly for the Skype and book reading functions, but looking at the games, think I may have lots of fun too!!0

Supposedly you're meant to follow pictures, so there are no real instructions as in a quick start guide. It does tell you somewhere either on the ipad, or a sticker somewhere that it doesn't come with iTunes on a cd, so you need to download it and install first. Also they guess that a plug in picture on the front is universal to plug into itunes to further. It's not really. I only knew because I had an iTouch originally.
Ooh, you'll hit the games easily! World of Goo is highly recommended0
