Some curtains to match this wallpaper....

cte - I did see the Dunelm ones but they were almost £100 so out of my price range.
Homebase - the y look very see-through - I have these in my basket for Argos already as I saw them earlier.
The ones with the patterns around the top - I was not sure if I liked these to be honest.0 -

What about these here at argos - although £45 not £35.
TBH not where I would normally get curtains from but I like the reverse of the flower design in that on your wallpaper the background is black, on these it's the flowers that are and there's not too much black which could make the room a bit odd. I think black is one of those colours that you either use it sparingly or you go all out.
Thanks, I did look at these, was not sure if I liked the bit across the top, they are generally going to be tied back behind a wooden holder and are more for 'show' than anything else, the room we use backs onto the back of the house so we never shut the curtains unless the sun comes in, late in the evening in the summer.0 -
Mckneff, we have a curtain pole with rings - would this work for pleated curtains? I thought I would need a track if I had pleats.
If I bought another colour into the room on the curtains I could get a rug and cushions in the same colour. Is that a good idea or not?
We had a flood - I have bought a rug in the sale in plum to replace the one I lost, but I am not sure I want that colour anymore so will take it back to Tesco if I can.0 -
You have to buy what you like - you're the one that will be looking at them.
Although there are allegedly "golden rules" in decorating they are all there to be broken and so you go with what makes you happy.0 -

You fix curtain hooks into the heading tape on the curtains and then loop them through the hooks at the bottom of the pole rings - no need for a track0 -
You can hang normal curtains from rings... Just attatch curtain hooks to the rings!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Thanks - do not want to buy the wrong kind. The kids have got rings and and pleated curtains upstairs but the weight of the curtain pulls them down (and these are just light kids curtains) and you end up with them looking dreadful so I have been using tab and ring top curtains downstairs, I thought I might have had the wrong type of curtains on the rings.0

When I said pleats, sorry I just meant folds so you buy extra wide curtains, they will be folds then even when they are shu, giving shadows and so not a flat cream. Lovely...........
Also, when I said embossed, I sorta meant a cream pattern on cream curtains if you see what I mean.
I'm usually good at inteiror design,, could you knock something up on yor computer as an image.
xx
Anniemake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I've got really heavy embroidered (almost like tapestry) curtains hanging from a pole using rings and hooks and they're fine!
They were the most expensive curtains I ever bought... There's a big patio door and a large window the same height as the door so I needed 2 massive pairs of curtains... I paid almost £150 for both from dunelm and that was at half price
They are gorgeous though, thick and heavy and block out all light and keep the heat in!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Thanks for your replies and help everyone. I've gone for cream curtains with a black pattern running down. Hopefully they will look just right. Your help has been much appreciated, you got me looking for things I would not have otherwise. Thanks again.0
