Hi everyone
I sold a medium sized lego set to someone in the Netherlands. I had previously built the set to make sure all the pieces were there and they were. He is now saying the set is incomplete and that there is 10-15 pieces missing and that I had replaced some of the pieces. This is certainly untrue and he is trying it on. Up to now we have had good communications with messages about the condition of the box etc and me sending it to the Netherlands.
He has just emailed me at the moment and not left me feedback. I have 100% positive feedback and don't want him to neg me but am annoyed he is lying - what should I do?

This seems to be an increasing trend with buyers complaining about their item, no doubt to get a partial refund.
I recently refunded quite a lot of money to a buyer because she complained. A week later she received two negatives for trying the same blackmailing type tactics. You live and learn.
Go with your gut instincts, they're usually right.0 -
1 negative won't make a difference to you on ebay. Tell him to stick it.
(no pun intended)

thanks for replying.
I have sent him a reply to his email . I said that I had made the set up before putting it on ebay and it was complete as per the photo I put up when I sold the item. I guess I will have to see what he says now.£2 savers club 2025 #40 -
It does seem more people believe they can have the goods and the cash. Stick to your guns, he may actually have built it wrong anyway. Its strange though as I normally had 5 or so pieces left over when building with Lego...You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0

I had my first complaint this week after about 100 sales. You want to slap them!!!! I had some shoes for sale, I photographed the shoes, the picture was excellent. A full description, and the buyer got a bargain! Now she replies that the shoes she got were not the same as in the picture, not the same colour and the toes were more pointy. What did the postman switch them? I said send them back in perfect condition and I would give a refund, but no postage.....! She decided to re-list them herself. I am not a shop, I don't take things back just cos someone does not like them.
It's pathetic... The feedback system is too vulnerable!NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0
