going to buy season ticket for train travel that i may not need if i buy with credit card can i cancel nxt day or maybe even same day will money have left account or not or would i have to wait for train comp to refund money

Why not get a few return tickets until you know you'll need it. Once you buy the ticket you can't be refunded as you've used it.

Money won't have left the account the same day, but the company may still claim it and you will have to wait for a refund.

AS the other guy said, just buy a few daily's to save having to do the leg work later.

You will have to read the terms and conditions of issue of a season ticket with your train operator.
There may be a cancellation charge - even if you cancel same day so beware other posters have given good advice.

You will have to follow the normal refund precedures. I'm sure the season ticket will need to be returned to a ticket office, there will be a charge made and the refund may not be processed immediately. All or part of the ticket may be non-refundable, so check the refund position carefully with the train operator.
