LCD telly...going green!

My 2+ year old Samsung 32" LCD telly has begun to lose the colour definition, the picture has turned mostly green. It does right itself after a while but I know that it will probably get worse.

Is this a fault that can be fixed by any repairman? We have a rather good tv guy who has a shop just up the road but we don't want to disconnect it and lug it there only to be told that we have to buy a new telly.

Also, does anyone know if this is likely to be an "inherent" fault? The tv is just over 2 years old and was bought from Argos....I still have the receipt, but not the box (threw it out around 3 weeks ago after a loft clear-out!) I don't want to spend the next year of my life arguing with Argos as to whether SOGA applies in this case etc etc but if I think that I've been sold a dud telly, I will take it further!
Thanks in advance....B.

heard of this before on a friends TV - 1/2 his screen was green.

Turned out to be a loose/faulty (cant remeber which) HDMI cable

Sounds like a faulty cable or socket (either end) to me.

Chris....I've no idea of the model number, it's nowhere to be found on the tv, we looked when we were hooking up our Tivo box. But it's similar to this one....

but it doesn't have a usb port. It was around the same price, this looks identical but we don't have the buttons at the front, they're on the side of the set.

We do have a PS3 and a DVD player plugged into a 4 way scart port, which is plugged into the tv, I have jiggled the wires about. TV is fine at the moment but we were watching the Blue Peter girl in Antarctica earlier and the sky was green and the snow was yellow!

Try connecting without using the 4 way scart multiplug.

cant you use hdmi for the ps3 and scart direct into tv from the dvd?

also is the fault present on freeview built into the tv or just related to the external devices?

If it's just the freeview, but ok on the scart and hdmi, it's a common fault.
Ours did the same, various threads to be found on google.
