in 2003 I had a 125% mortgage from northern rock.At the time I was told I had to take out unemployment insurance in order to get the mortgage.Does anyone know if I can claim this back as I was forced to take it out or is it just classed as a term of the mortgage?????

You can put in your complaint. It is the weakest of the complaint reasons as it isnt one that you can prove. However, NRAM seem to be more than happy to pay out on low evidence cases. Of course, that assumes you bought it from Northern Rock and not a broker. If it was a broker then you have the 2005 date to be aware of which could prevent you from making a complaint.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
