Heatandplumb.com has contacted us and asked us to update this post. MSE does not endorse anything a company says on the Forum:
Please note - this thread appeared in March 2012, when a previous owner of the domain went into liquidation. The domain is now operated by a new owner, and is in no way affiliated to the previous company
Back to the original thread:
Does anyone have any current information about the state of a Company called Heat and Plumb.com. I ordered a radiator from them a month ago and haven't heard a thing from them. I've sent several emails without any response, left loads of messages on the answer machine without any reply. I suspect they may have gone bust. The website is still up and running, but you cannot place any orders. As you've probably gathered, they took my payment straight away. Can anyone confirm my suspicions about this rotten Company.

Still shown as active on companieshouse website, although this doesn't necessarily mean they are still trading.0 -
Thanks for your reply Arcon5. I reckon it must be one hell of a telephone problem for it still to be out of action since 27th Feb. Me being an ex Telecoms Manager, I never had any problem that wasn't fixed within 48 hrs, that's what made me suspicious. The thing is the phones ARE working because you can leave a message, you just don't get any response from the Company.
Like you said, they are still showing as active on Companies House, but I'm not sure how often their info is update. I just get the feeling that I've seen the last of my cash.
It's all very frustrating, and holding up my job. This is the first incident I have ever had with an internet company, not sure where to go from here.0 -

If they've stopped trading it may not even show at companies house for a while - if for example they're waiting for a creditor to wind them up or the 3 months to apply to be struck off.
How did you pay? I may be able to recover the money still.0 -
Paid by Credit card, But the amount was just below the £100 limit to be able to claim the money back from the Credit Card Company.0

Hello.
We had a similar experience with 'heatandplumb.com'
The details:
-Paid by Visa Debit card on 23/2/12 (payment taken 27/2/12),
-Payment amount £251.57
-Item purchased: Boiling water tap
Could anyone suggest steps to take in order to claim the money back or indeed recieve the goods? We have made numerous telephone calls, left messages and sent emails, all with no reply.
Interestingly, they still seem to be paying for adverts on Google and their website remains active.-Numerous negative reviews now appear accross the net.
Thanks

I have exactly the experience, placed order 23/2/2012, the answer machine is now full and has been since last week, no replies to any emails. I have just spoken to my card company and they will take it up and try to get my money back.0

I've also been in touch with my credit card company and even though the amount is below the £100 limit, they said they would attempt to get the money back from their bank, due to the fact that they have not met the specified deliver date. If the Company has gone into liquidation I don't hold out much hope of getting the cash back.
It does seem strange that the plug hasn't been pulled on the website, very odd indeed.0 -
Have a look at the reviews on trustpilot.co.uk
You will be shocked at the number of people involved in this debacle.0 -

I had already started the process of reclaiming my £106 spend from my credit card company. Thankfully it seems a pretty straightforward process.0
