Regular Tyre pressure checks made a surprising difference

Just a really quick tip for my first post - I have been religiously checking my Tyre pressures on a weekly basis since i started commuting and have seen a surprising saving in my petrol cost of around £1.50 per week from £50 worth of petrol.

Just a small saving but still something all the same.

So, keep on top of your Tyre pressure and you could see a nice little saving.

You either have porous alloys or slow punctures. Wouldn't it be better to get that fixed?

Regular tyre pressure checks are a good idea, but ...

With all due respect (which unfortunately means that I'm going to be disrespectful), I wonder if the reduction in cost fuel over time might have something to do with you starting to commute. Are you using public transport, perchance? :)

Naughty me i have not checked mine for weeks now and my fuel consumption has gotten a lot better, Up from 34mpg to 39mpg.

So an even better saving than checking them weekly or could it be the fact the weather has gotten warmer and we are starting to use the lights and wipers etc less?

Top tip..buy a decent tyre guage. dont trust the one on the pump as its rubbish. also, never pay for air. Use a free pump or a foot pump.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
