Does anyone else find underwired bras uncomfortable?
I got properly measured at the lovely Bravissimo shop as a 36G and bought the underwired bra. After about an hour of wearing it it was really uncomfortable with the wires digging in underneath. I find it difficult to find non wired bras to fit and give the same support as u/wired. Shame as the new one gave a fab shape0 -

it does sound like it didn't fit properly - i have had uncomfortable ones in the past, but had the same bra in a size up and they've been fine - just a thoughtWins since June: iPod shuffle 1gb, Samsung g800, cinema ticket, lush retro giftbox, 2x mp3 downloads, a big box of food (???)0 -
oh, m&s are rubbish. their bigger bras are just the smaller ones but with more material, they don't think about support or anything. spotted myself in a club once in the mirror in my m&s bra and was shocked at the amount of movement, it was horrendous. i spent the rest of the night trying to hold them still with my arms in as subtle a way as possible, and looked like a penguin. never again!
(edit to say, i did have a top on over my m&s bra - i don't go out in just my underwear)
RE M&S I read a report somewhere about bra measuring services and M&S came out badly. Haven't actually tried the fitting service myself (just spent ages over the years going backwards and forwards to the changing rooms!)
On bras generally I can never understand why manufacturers make big sizes then put useless weak straps on them!
The assistant in the Triumph shop spent ages with me and I ended up with several that fitted to choose from. She also wrote not just the size on a card for me but notes about styles I should choose and styles to avoid.
The choice of styles/colours is better in a Triumph shop as well compared with Triumph in a dept store.
PS I don't work for Triumph I'm just impressed by anywhere that has good customer service!0 -
I'm a bravissimo kinda girl! Sign up for the newsletter then they let you know when they have sales. I seem to be the only one whose boobs get bigger after breast-feeding! After to little-uns they're now a whopping 32JJ. Sick of poeple talking to my boobs (this is women and men), the back ache & having to adopt the wash-wear approach as can't afford to buy many. Seriously considering a reduction job,as a nurse friend thought i might get one on the NHS. Anyone got experince or work in this field?November wins...a book, a designer handbag (worth £550 :T) and a game. I am now an addict and thank everyone for taking the time to share and post.0

I would definitely go back to the store wearing the bra. I had a similar problem a couple of years ago and had been measured. I wore the bra that was uncomfortable, called into the shop and explained the problem. They were extremely helpful, got a different member of staff to the one that had fitted me, and as soon as I took my top off and she could see where it was digging in she said it was a poor fit. They offered to try a different size of the same bra on me or start again with a different style. I came out a happy customer and have been back loads of times since as I know if I am not happy I can go back. Customer service is excellent.0 -
Hey,
ASDA have launched a new range of reasonably priced bras in larger sizes
..unfortunately they seem to think that being well-endowed only happens to women with a back-size of 36+?!!!! how annoying
