Best fitting bras for bigger sizes

I discovered Bravissimo shop for dd+ sizes. Just happened to wander in and they offered to fit me. To my amazement instead of being 36D I’m actually 34E. They didn’t measure they just looked and spend time as I tried lots of different style bras on. They explained exactly what I should look for when buying a new bra. The result is the most comfy, best fitting bra Iv ever had. So I brought one. Their website offers fantastic tips and great sale items.
But here’s the best money saving bit. I made a note of other bras that fitted well and ordered those online via figleaves, used an online voucher and got £6 off per bra.
Fantastic
The bras have lasted me ages so that’s saved me. I haven’t had to purchase any more bras, which used to happen when I found bras uncomfortable.

Hi choccybuttons,
Thanks for the recommendation. This is a good thread for the Shop but Don't Drop board so I've moved it over there.

Choccybuttons I agree completely about the service offered by Bravissimo. I discovered them about 5 years ago and it may sound dramatic but changed my life completely! I was wearing a 38C but was actually a 32F!! Suddenly I had a proper shape and people kept commenting on how good I was looking but they couldn't pinpoint what it was. I explained what the change was, to the surprise of some listeners!!
They also have tops, jackets, wrap dresses etc specially adjusted for bigger breasted women. Their fitting service is second to none, although some of the bras they sell can be found elsewhere (I got some great Freya ones in Debenhams sale). The key is really in the fitting and wearing the right size.Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -

Brastop, like figleaves, also sells some of the same makes as Bravissimo at a fraction of the cost so if you know your size it's definately worth a look. Also do bra size swimware which is much cheaper and offer a good returns service when things don't fit.:A0

I think it is high time you women stopped paying so much on fashion accessories like bras and spent the money more wisely.
For Valentines I bought my girlfriend a belt and a new bag, she just loves that Hoover. You cant take the trousers off an elephant!0 -
I have not used Bravissimo but as a larger busted woman, I would suggest that you get properly fitted. Years ago, my area managers wife worked for Triumph and she gave me a fitting and I discovered I wasnt a 38c but a 34f, no wonder my boobs were round my stomach lol, small back but big front:rotfl: The right fitting supportive bra can take pounds off you and make your boobs look pert.
I have tried the Charnos bioform bra, the one with a wide fin like bit on the underarm part of the bra, and I must say its a bit uncomfortable but clothes fit alot better, well worth the money but handwash only despite saying it can be machine washed on the label. And yes the lady in the avatar is me

Like may woman I wore the wrong size bra. Am a 36F not a 40 DD! I have bought some decent bras, but I also buy a lot in Matalan, as they are so inexpensive there. And they do the larger sizes. So worth getting fitted and buying a few decent ones in Bravissimo or other and heading of to Matalan for some spare cheaper ones.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking.
