Colleys surveyor- ladder for loft

Hi I'm getting "level 2" survey done on a property and need the roof and loft checked.
There is no ladder for the loft and I was wondering if the surveyor brings his own.
I called the estate agent to ask them to let the vendor know that I'm having a survey done and to unlock the loft entrance and provide a ladder. She advised that the surveyor brings his own.
I normally just get the basic mortgage valuation done so am unsure. I don't want him to miss that part of the survey because he couldn't get access. Anyone have any definitive yes or no on this?
Thanks!

Pretty poor surveyor who doesn't carry a ladder for loft access in his car......0

Yes the one that surveyed my house had his own. It was a fold up "extendy" type thing. He was such a nasty piece of work, that at one point, I nearly pulled it away from him when he was in the loft

£80, and all your problems go away!
Actually, quite handy to keep under the stairs so you can empty the gutters/inspect your new places windowframes/etc :-)0 -
