creation finance store card

Hi Everyone,
I recently asked a company to get back my PPI which I had with creation finance since 2002 (Previously this was with GE Capital)
I have been refused which is rather frustrating as they did pay back all fees that were incurred for late payment etc.
I was told by the company handling my claim that I cannot have the PPI part due to this being so old. I would like to know if I should start the process please to reclaim my PPI. Many thanks to you all. Mary

I would be very wary as if you do win redress the claims co will be notified by the card company.
It is possible the card is too old to claim on without proof of ppi paid.
What was the exact reason for the claim through the company not upheld?.0 -
I recently wrote to Creation to request a copy of my credit agreement in relation to possible PPI, I enclosed £1, in 5 and 10 pence pieces sellotaped to a piece of card.
I am awaiting their response.0 -

Way to go :rotfl::rotfl:
Although the agreement may not show the ppi as with cards this is sometimes added at a later date.
Do a Sar if you get no joy with the agreement ::D:D:D this is £10, think of all the coins you would need for this :cool:0 -
I had a reply from creation, with a copy of my original credit agreement, as stated by someone else on a thread, such a dreadful copy, but i could make out that there was nothing ticked in the PPI section.
Is it still worth trying to reclaim late payment charges.
I have not used this account since 2009, as I went over the credit limit which was £1400.00. I think my spending took the balance to around £1600.00 before they stopped me using it, I was on a repayment plan with them for £90.00 a month, on reduced interest charges etc.
The balance is now £2500.00
I hate this company with a vengance!!0 -
An update on my ongoing battle with Creation.
After receiving the copy of the original credit agreement, which I received on friday 23rd March, I realised I didn't have PPI but would pursue a claim for their late and overlimit fees, so began a long process of sorting through lots of paperwork etc.
While the kids were on Easter hols, i was at work and my OH rang me to say that there was a letter from creation asking for money, nothing new there I told him.
Not realising this was actually a notice of default, which they had dated 25th March, which was a sunday, So they proceeded with this letter, in the knowledge that I was investigating their dealings and extortionate fees. Now my OH put this letter back in the envelope, and I never actually read it. So having spent the last week or so collating all the statements and working out all the late payment fees etc, I received a letter yesterday from Drydens/Fairfax, telling me that creation have ended the credit agreement etc, and that they want £2,650.00
Now I'm a bit annoyed with myself for not having read the letter from Creation a few weeks ago, which was in fact a "Notice of Default" letter, giving me until 13/04/12 to get back to them.
I'm not sure what to do next, should I ring Creation, and tell them that I want to claim for the late charges refund (£1,325.00) or should I just admit defeat and go straight to Drydens??

Hi there
(Cheers for pm).
If your in financial hardship, it maybe worth you asking if your able to come to an arrangement of what your able to afford right now, you can send them a copy of your monthly expenditure to prove this if this applies to you.
You can then try pursuing the business for the charges. (I don't normally deal with these issues) but there is no harm in trying to reclaim on them.
What they may do is use the refund towards the debt, but I am sure this is what you would want them to do.;)
So I take it then, this is credit card?
If so more details on the link here.....follow the guide on how to do this.

You can also check on that relevant thread here too and ask for further info.....

I note you have already tried requesting for the agreement, but as amersall suggests, if you require more info maybe a Subject Access Request (SAR) would help, as amersall said maybe the agreement did not enclose details of the ppi even if you did pay ppi.
Any ppi info should be enclosed within SAR, there is a letter template for this below, you enclose the one off payment of £10 cheque or postal order, they have 40 calendar days to comply.
They should send all data they still hold on the account going back to at least 6 years.
I have received data going back prior to 6 years too, but it may differ from one business to the other.
Hope this info helps for now, good luck.;)

Oops store card, not credit card, sorry. I assume you treat it the same way as credit card charges though, unless someone can clarify otherwise. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0

Thanks Di,
I'm just worried that now it's with Drydens, that I won't be able to get info from Creation.0
