Alienware Laptop Battery Not Charging

This is a tip that will help many people with Alienware Laptops I think... M15X, M17X, etc.
There seems to be an ongoing problem with the battery not charging. You get the message "This is not the 150w charger shipped" and/or the charger is plugged in but not charging the battery. Your meter just says "Plugged in, not charging"
Here's what I did this morning when this problem occurred for the first time on my husband's Alienware...
1) Turn on the laptop. Insert the charger plug & plug into the mains.
2) Tilt the laptop toward you. Make sure you don't close the lid & turn it off or hibernate etc.
3) Carefully remove the battery from the bay.
Wait for 5 seconds
4) Carefully replace the battery and clip back into place.
5) Put the laptop down, and hold Function key + F2 to activate the battery
This should fix the problem, and the battery will begin charging! It was very scary, and we thought it would be time for a new adapter or battery. Phew! Bullet = dodged.
