(a) Do you want to close your current Cash ISA and transfer all the
balance, including the accrued interest?
My answer is yes
(b) Have you paid money into your Cash ISA in the current tax year?
(A tax year is from 6 April to 5 April in the following year.)
My answer is yes
Then is says
If you answered Yes to question (a), please ignore questions (c) and (d).
If you answered Yes to question (b), please complete questions (c) and
(d).
So do I fill in questions c and d?
I don't quite understand question c
(c) Do you want to transfer your current tax year subscriptions as part of this
transfer?
Do I? I don't know. What does it mean?

Well do you want to transfer money you have deposited this tax year? Is the answer to Part C.
But you don't need to answer Part C because you have already said yes to Part A (which is yes, you want to transfer everything, which would include any contributions from this tax year)0 -
Thanks for that0

Great question I was wondering this too, was about to fill in the form, and because I wanted to get it right first time decided to ring Santander, and the guy I spoke too, didn't know, and he works for the ISA team!0

I too think it's contradictory. If you answered Yes to question (b), please complete questions (c) and
(d).But you don't need to answer Part C because you have already said yes to Part A (which is yes, you want to transfer everything, which would include any contributions from this tax year)Great question I was wondering this too, was about to fill in the form, and because I wanted to get it right first time decided to ring Santander, and the guy I spoke too, didn't know, and he works for the ISA team!
Doesn't give much confidence - does it?0 -
Whats part d? Unfortunately photobucket is blocked here at work so I cannot view the picture!0

It's not at all contradictory.
You only get to c) and d) if you've initiated a partial transfer - and you have contributed money in the current year. The supplementaries (c and d) are to determine whether you want to transfer the current year subscriptions and / or how much value of previous years. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
I agree with the OP - the form is contradictory.
However, if you download and complete the PDF version of the form and answer "Yes" to question (a) (by clicking in the appropriate box) then it becomes clear that questions (c) and (d) can be ignored because the fields for questions (c) and (d) cease to be selectable.
The form is badly designed - question (b) is unnecessary in the presence of question (c).0
