Suggestions how to get guttering up? (much harder than it sounds!)

Please, please, don't try a jerry-built support bodge-up off the extension roof. Chances are you'll either kill yourself or end up going through the roof. A properly designed scaffold access is the best and safest way.
And don't rely on one of these fascia fitting companies to necessarily provide that safe method of working. I had a well-known national double glazing and fascia etc company (no names, no pack drill) come out to do my gutters a few years ago. I came home from work and had to stop them by threatening to call the H&S Inspector if they didn't take down the dangerous bodge-up off my sloping extension roof. After some strong words to their (visiting) project manager next morning he agreed to get a proper scaffold put up.A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove you don't need it.0 -
Thanks for all the replies.
I am going to contact some scaffolding companies and see how much a ladder base over the kitchen roof would be.. see if that would work.
If not I will post a picture for more ideas!0 -
hello, i can see where your coming from and as an installer can understand your frustration....also you have had some pretty poor advice from many but truthfully safety is the only way forward... can you get access behind your property with a vehicle???0
