I am going at a bit of a tangent today. I noticed recently that Amazon is also doing daily deals at its Audible.co.uk audio book site. Today's is the first one that really grabbed my attention.
Neuromancer by: William Gibson. Narrated by: Jeff Harding. Length: 9 hrs and 23 mins .
Those with an interest in science fiction will immediately recognise this title. For others this is the introduction to the cyberpunk style. I read this as a paperback years ago, which I still own and planned to read again soon. Maybe I will listen to it instead at this price. A strong recommendation for those with an interest in sci-fi or those who would like an introduction. It is a classic and lots of others have mimicked its style. Don't be put off where the blurb refers to The Matrix. This has nothing to do with the film of that name. This matrix is a touchy-feely kind of version of the internet - and rather more dangerous.

For the more literary minded this book won the Orange prize and was shortlisted for the Booker prize. I did get this book in a print version several years ago, but sadly I have to admit that it is still in my book pile waited to be read.
The Secret River by Kate Grenville on Kindle at £1.09 in today's daily deals.

Interesting Times: (Discworld Novel 17) by Terry Pratchett currently on Kindle at £1.55. I think it is unusual to get this kind of deal on Sir Terry's books. I didn't see any indication how long this will last. It just appeared in Recommendations,
